The facility is Japan's first urban circular ropeway, which opened in April 2021 as a means of transportation connecting Sakuragicho Station in Yokohama's city center waterfront area with Shinko Pier Canal Park. The Sakuragicho Station of the ropeway is conveniently located in front of the East Exit Plaza of JR Sakuragicho Station (a 1-minute walk from the station), while the Canal Park Station on the opposite bank is connected to the commercial facility Yokohama World Porters via a corridor, making it a convenient location for accessing nearby tourist attractions such as Yokohama Cosmo World and the Red Brick Warehouse. To prevent the intrusion of outside air with temperature differences entering through the entrance of the Sakuragicho station building on the second floor and the entrance to the ropeway boarding platform, we have installed Tornex's 2-way air curtain box.
